Our Ideal Church of Scientology Mission of South Coast is located in a beautiful part of Southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego.
South Coast Mission was founded in 2005 and in 2016 it became an Ideal Mission. It has been the winner of multiple continental Birthday Games and the winner of the International Birthday Game for Missions twice.
As a Mission, we are able to deliver auditing up to Clear—including the Purification Rundown and Survival Rundown—basic courses, Golden Age of Knowledge courses, Student Hat and the PTS-SP Course. Our primary focus is reaching out into our area and getting new public into Scientology. We send our public on to our local org and to upper orgs for their training and further auditing.

In 1982 LRH issued an Executive Directive, LRH ED 340R INT, 1982/83 Mission Birthday Game. In it he said the following:
“Missions are Scientology’s spearhead into society. Without them we would fail. I count on Missions to hold wide open the gates at the entrance of the Bridge, to flood their communities with books and to drive people onto the Bridge so that they can go up the line to Clear.
“...More than any group, Missions can and do have a direct effect on the speed at which planetary clearing takes place.” — LRH
South Coast Mission—Spearheading into Society and Expanding Scientology
Since spring of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, South Coast Mission has been doing webinars to new public. We conducted market research on hundreds of Orange County residents and found their ruins. We used this, and other market research data to create copy for our webinar promo and webinars and launched them on MeetUp (an online group meeting site) and Facebook. We now give webinars three times a week to about 20 to 40 new public per webinar (our highest was over 70 attendees!), and have reached over 5000 new public, with many repeat attendees who are hungry for more data!
We sell interested attendees the Self Analysis book and help them get reading it and doing the processes. Since initiation of the webinars we have sold hundreds of books to new public and we have a steady stream of people coming into the Mission for Book One auditing and courses.

Wins from Our New Public Webinars
Reaching our community with 4D campaigns and improving conditions
We run campaigns for The Way to Happiness, Truth About Drugs and Youth for Human Rights. We will also be working with groups with social objectives to help them achieve their goals through the use of the tools contained in the Scientology Handbook.

A Saner Planet: Starting right here, right now!
We plan to reach many thousands more new public with the message of hope that Dianetics and Scientology can bring them. We will do this through continuing with our webinars and adding more and more marketing for book sales and the different introductory routes into the Mission, as well as working with our field to help them contact and salvage new public. As new public move up the Bridge, we will be sending them on to Orange County Org for training and upper orgs for higher auditing.
We’ll be increasing our outreach to the South Orange County community groups and leaders, helping them with real solutions for their social problems. This will be done through finding out what is needed and wanted in the community and providing the correct LRH solution. We will be forming a group of Volunteer Ministers to bring the powerful technology in the Scientology Handbook to individuals and groups.
We will be acquiring more space for the Mission to accommodate the increased flow and demand. We are also hiring people for vital positions in the Mission.

Our Community
South Coast Mission is located in Lake Forest in South Orange County, California. South Orange County’s beautifully landscaped cities have plenty to offer in the way of leisure and entertainment and several are on the top safest cities in the US list. South OC also has a rich business environment including many company headquarters, tech companies and tech startups.
South Orange County is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and parks in Southern California. Orange County boasts almost 100,000 acres of regional and wilderness parks and preserves. Close to the Mission are two wilderness parks and the Cleveland National Forest. Right next to us is the award-winning, state-of-the-art Lake Forest Sports Park, a 56-acre facility with fields, a gym, trails and even a creek!
Cities in Orange County are relatively small and the city councils are eager to create resident and business-friendly environments. They are open to solutions for the problems facing urban communities.

We’ll appreciate any help you give to get people in contact with Dianetics and Scientology and starting on the Bridge. Here are some ways you can participate:
- Send people to our free webinars. You can access our webinars here: www.southcoastmission.com/free-webinars
- You can also elect to become the field staff member for a person that you send to a webinar, by helping him or her get through their Self Analysis counseling program.
- Volunteer to help people on their Self Analysis counseling program. We have a clearly laid out program and hat for our volunteers. Contact our Organization Executive Secretary, Felix Lange at Felix@southcoastmission.com

- Start your own outreach activity! There are plenty of things you can do to contact and help people. Some ideas are: giving your own webinars; handing out personality tests; setting up a book, testing or information booth (we’ll help you set them up—per California law, cities have to allow booths in public places) and more! - Help on 4D campaigns and other public relations and community activities. 4D campaigns are giving seminars/webinars and providing literature for The Way to Happiness, Truth About Drugs and Human Rights campaigns. - Become a Volunteer Minister. As a Volunteer Minister you can help people with Scientology Tools for Life from the Scientology Handbook one-on-one or through seminars to groups, as well as helping in emergency situations in the community. We are setting up a Scientology VM hotline for local people to get practical help for their problems. - Help take South Coast Ideal Mission to the next level of expansion. To accommodate our current staff and activities and future expansion, we need to double our premises. We will be creating a large public division and courseroom to accommodate volume personality testing, seminars, Dianetics auditing, Dianetics co-audits and community activities.
